All subjects will have computational thinking streaming through them, as part of the learning process in all subjects. All students will follow a broad and balanced curriculum resulting in the achievement of ten GCSE’s by the end of Year 11.

Applied Transdiscipline Learning will be used in KS3 designed to ensure full curriculum coverage although at the same time demonstrating the inter-connectivity of different subjects. It is expected that students will sit the Computer Science GCSE at the end of Year 9.

In Years 7 to 11 there will be 31.5 hours of teaching time a week, plus 1-2 hours of ‘TIP’ Mentoring time a week.

Every 6 weeks, so six times a year, there will be a whole week of testing and innovation. During these weeks student progress will be examined in each examination subject and innovation activities and design competitions involving people from digital industries will take place. Also, twice a year, all students will exhibit their digital portfolios of their very best work to their parents and mentor. During these weeks elements of the RSHE and RE National Curriculum requirements will also be delivered.
